Hounslow Homes is looking for a Professional Witness Officer to join their ASB Team. You will have an excellent knowledge of techniques used to gather evidence of anti-social behaviour or criminal behaviour and experience of presenting evidence at court. In addition, you will have excellent people and communication skills when providing support and encouragement to victims of crime.
You will have the opportunity to work with other stakeholders and to contribute to safer and cohesive communities.
You must be able to demonstrate:
• Knowledge of police operating procedures and criminal law
• Good knowledge of the Regulation of Investigatory Powers Act 2000
• Knowledge of taking civil and criminal statements
• Confidence to give verbal evidence at Court
• Work variable working hours when undertaking investigations
• Ability to work alone and with minimal supervision
• Knowledge of antisocial behaviour in a housing context and understanding of problems experienced by residents
• Good computer skills.
Due to the nature of the role, you will be required to undertake visits across the borough at short notice so living within the vicinity and being available to attend potential crime scenes at short notice is important. You must be a car driver and have a car available for work.
